SDS Management and Dispatch
The CHIP regulations state that the supplier of a dangerous substance or preparation shall provide a Safety Data Sheet free of charge and shall revise it if any significant information becomes available. A Safety Data Sheet shall be provided to every person who has received the dangerous substance or preparation within the period of 12 months prior to the new revision.
ChemSoft SDS Management records who a Safety Data Sheet has been sent and the date it was sent together with the revision number of that Safety Data Sheet. It also records how the document was sent to the customer i.e. email and which languages were printed. When a safety data sheet has been amended the ChemSoft system highlights those customers to whom a new revision must be sent. This is linked to the customer address book, which can be imported from pre-existing databases.
An automated version of this module is also available to take care of the dispatch of all document revisions by automatically emailing or faxing the new revision to customers. |
